and Ann Weinmann are Kala Point residents with great
knowledge of plant ecology. Fred is president of
the Washington Native Plant
Society. They

Trees,
Coastal Living, and Views
The linkage of trees, shoreline areas, and views is a hot
topic in the Puget Sound region.
There is a complex network of Federal/State/NGO sites and
interagency cooperatives linking trees, ecology, and human
impacts. You'll see many of these links within the
websites, below.
Washington towns and counties in coastal regions follow the
state's lead very strongly. Consequently, the best and most
authoritative information is within the state agencies,
their cooperative partnerships, and parallel NGOs.
Agency and NGO people are very helpful. They have dozens of
free documents and pamphlets. For a community the size of
Kala Point, they would be willing to directly assist us.
