"Annabelle"
Hi! I'm Annabelle. I was born October 7, 1997 at Regal Beagle Kennels in Burtonsville, Maryland. My parents, Mark and Michelle, brought me home to Columbia, Maryland on December 26, 1997. I am a 13" Tri-color AKC Registered Beagle. I weigh 26 lbs. I had a big sister named Daisy. I lived in Columbia for a little while and then we moved to Laurel, Maryland in 1998.
Now I live in a house with a fenced in yard. The neighborhood has lots of paths, a river, and park where I can play with the neighborhood children.
I was a shy puppy and mom and dad worked really hard to get me used to meeting new people so that I could be like my big sister and become a therapy dog. They took me to pet stores, parks, and friends houses. In 1998, I attended the Coventry School for Dogs and Their People just like Daisy, and I was valedictorian of my beginning class. I just needed time to be a puppy and mature. Now I love meeting people and going to new places. In March 2000 I passed my certification and joined National Capital Therapy Dogs, Inc. and Delta Society Pet Partners Program. When I visit, I love to show off my tricks; go for a walk; show off my picture album, get in to bed; and get hugs. Read some of my favorite visiting stories!
When I am not visiting, I love to play, take walks, and visit dog friends. I also like going to the beach and running along the shore. Mostly I sleep a lot on the couch or on the deck in the back yard.
I like Brady now. Sometimes I play with him. I'm not sure why he's following me on visits though! Mom and dad said he passed his test and now he has to, er, I mean, gets to visit.
