Welcome to the web site of acoustic musician, Steve McCoy.
Steve's love of music started at an early age. Much of his childhood and teen years were spent in various choral groups and choirs at school and church. His first instrument was trumpet, which he played from fourth grade up until his horn playing days were cut short by the bane of all trumpeters…braces!
In seventh grade, Steve discovered what would become one of his true passions in life…the guitar. He has now been playing guitar and writing songs for over 25 years. Along the way he has also picked up bass, mandolin and harmonica.
Steve has been playing with his friends and long-time musical partners Ed Sparks and Joel McGuire in the Free Flight Band for over 20 years. Although Free Flight performed their last gig together in 2004, Steve still plays regularly with Ed as one third of the acoustic trio Sparks, Raymond & McCoy. Steve can also be seen playing an occasional solo gig.
