World of Edar Creation Myth

Creation Myth and the many worlds of existence

Please Note - Edar is based on a world that Dragons are the oldest living creatures and many of the names are based on Draconic.

In the beginning was Vethibensvelk Urathear, creator of all things. Out of reverance, the dragons of old did not utter his name, but called him Vu.
Now from his mind came forth his servants, the Urathears. Now from the Urathears, Vu's song was composed. In it was life, happiness, and wonder. Vu led them in song, a song of radiance.

Among the Urathears, there was one who was special servant, as he had more knowledge of the song than the others. Many a time did he wander off to listen to the music by himself. In his wanderings, he came apon the empty space and grew bitter since Vu had not filled this space. He emersed himself there and became very sullen. He is call Sjacharikothar.

Now it came to pass that Vu called his servants together to compose the song of life. As they sang, melodies and harmonies arose so beautiful. Now Sjacharikothar sang his own melody, trying to over power Vu. He failed, but Vu was greatly displeased by him, and cursed him with his name, which means My Shadow Demon.

Vu then said to his servants, "Look what we have made" and in the void Edar began to form. "Go forth and complete the song, I give you the power to complete this task, for I have a special people to put on my Edar."

"But you, Sjacharikothar, has distrupted even the fabric of my gift, so you will always be lower than your brothers and sisters."

And thus the Urathears came to Edar and began to prepare it for Vu's special people. Sjacharkothar hid himself amongst Edar, and in doing so created his realm of the Shadow and the realm of the dead to claim Vu's special people. Vu saw this and was displeased more, so he completed the planes so that his purpose would not be defiled again.

Thus we have the Plane of Edar, where the special people of Vu deal. The Plane of Shadow, a plane of hiding and secrecy. The Etheral Plane, the gateway to the afterlife. The inner planes of power, where the building blocks of power can be tapped - Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Life, & Death. Finally, we have the Astral Plane, the realm where the Urathears sang their song of life.

Now Sjacharikothar managed to get more Urathears to come to his side and they began to cause havic in the Astral Plane.
So once more, Vu took steps. He created the outer planes and charged them with the powers of law, choas, good, and evil.
Thus the alignments were made and the Urathears were drawn to live the planes where their temperment lay.

Thus we have the creation of Edar and the planes and heavens of the world. All abondand the Astral Plane, leaving it as a traveling connection to all other planes.
