Kendall O Wright. Kendall was born in Lansing, Michigan on August 15, 1954 to Raymond and Leona (Kunckle) Wright. He passed away June 5, 2010 at Munson Hospital in Traverse City, Michigan. K.O. lived much of his life in Grand Ledge until he joined the United States Navy in 1974 until 1982. He served on the USS Nimitz (CVN/68) USS America CV66 Norfolk, Virginia where he received his electricians mate. He also served on the USS Dixie (AD-14) Long Beach, CA. K.O. Attended Tidewater Community College in 1989 in Norfolk, Virginia. He moved to Lake City in 1990 and worked at the Lake City Drop Forge for approx. 10 years. He enjoyed talking about his time in the Navy and all the places he had traveled to while serving his country. He also enjoyed repairing things and doing woodworking. During the last year of his life he learned to play dice and loved staying up for hours playing the game while listening to the oldies playing and guessing who was singing the songs as each one began to play. K.O. was preceded in death by his father Raymond Wright in 1983. He is survived by his mother Leona Wright of Cadillac, Raemalee (Garrison) of Redford, MI, Jody of Jacksonville, FL, and Ginger of Lake City, MI who also will loved and will miss him dearly. One nephew Jody Raymond Wright, one niece, Toni Jo (Wright) Carmody of Florida and their children. A special girl Chew Chew (CC) his Siberian husky who loved and will miss him playing with her in the back yard. Last but not least two of K.O.s best friends who loved him like a brother, Monty McCarrick and Cindy Bowers and will certainly miss staying up with him playing dice and spending time with him. K.O. was cremated and some of his ashes will be taken to Arlington Cemetery in Virginia. On his way home to Lake City he had found a Siberian Husky/Wolf tied to a tree, Crystal Blue (CB) was her name. Approximately 1998 she became ill and he was heart broken, he had to have her put to sleep, and then Cremated as he was, some of her ashes will be resting with her buddy. Connie (Summerfield) Gearhart, age 54, of Crestview, Fla., passed away at her home Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009.
Connie leaves behind her husband, Timothy Gearhart; sons, Christopher Gearhart and Lukas Gearhart; father, Robert J Summerfield; mother, Emily I. Kelly; brothers, Robert Summerfield, John Summerfield and David Summerfield; sisters, Pat Hodges (Summerfield) and Anna Cross (Summerfield); and grandchildren, Caden Gearhart and Mathew Zamorski.
There will be a memorial service for Connie on Thursday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Crestview Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association www.Diabetes.org; or to the Make a Wish Foundation, www.wish.org, in Connie's memory.

Gregory A. Husted:  Age 54, passed away August 30, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Greg is survived by his wife of 23 years Sandy and sons Evan and Ryan, Parents Keith and Jean Husted, Sister Laurie (Dave) Staley all of Grand Ledge, Several nieces and nephews, And many close friends. He graduated from Grand Ledge High School Class of 1973 and was a truck driver for Rural Gas Co. Greg enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt turkey and deer. He also played in card tournaments and has several poker and cribbage trophies to his name. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge with The Reverend Fred B. McGlone III of New Covenant Christian Church, officiating. Manley D. Parsons:  Born May 4, 1954 in Lansing, MI, passed away March 18, 2009 in Lansing at the age of 54.  Manley was a self-employed carpenter, graduated from High School in Baumholder, Germany and was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of Eagle Wesley Chapel, loved his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ and loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He is survived by his son, Josh (Nancy) Parsons of Mecosta and daughter, Carissa Parsons of Eagle; 4 grandchildren:  Chloe, Natalie and Sarah Parsons and Mikayla Burke and his parents, Robert and Norma (Bates) Parsons of Grand Ledge;  3 sisters:  Roxanne Rappuhn of Grand Ledge, Melinda (David) Soule of Greenville and Pamela Carpenter of Vermontville, grandmother, Doris Bates of Bradington, FL and was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Parsons in 2006.  Funeral services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 - 10:00 am at the Eagle Wesley Chapel, 13940 S. Zetta L.(Graham) Thelen:  Zetta L. (Graham) Thelen, 54, formerly of Eagle, passed away Feb.20, 2009 at her home.  She was born Aug.28, 1954 in Reed City, daughter of the late Albert and Evelyn (Sutton) Livingston.  She was a former employee of Quality Dairy in Fowler.  She was predeceased by her first husband, William Graham;  daughter, LaSinda Kebler;  parents;  brother, Roger Ostrander and sister, Sharon Livingston.  Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Gerard;  daughter, Nicole A. Huver of Portland;  brother, Richard (Gloria) Livingston of Portland;  sisters:  Linda (Dale) Galloup of Bristol, Patricia (Les) Epps of Rifle, Colo., Jackie Vogt of Ionia, Maria (Glenn) Ross of Grand Ledge and Gyla Ostrander of Mason, and seven grandchildren.   Funeral services were held Feb.23 at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with interment following at North Eagle Cemetery, Eagle Twp, Clinton Co.  In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the Zetta Thelen Memorial willl be greatly appreciated.

Linda Hilley:  Linda Pearl Hilley Lansing Linda Pearl Hilley, aged 56, of Lansing, went to her Lord on Friday, October 17, 2008 while a patient at Sparrow Hospital following complications of pneumonia. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Madonna "Donna" Hilley and Carlisle "Lefty" Hilley of Lansing and brother, Tom Hilley of St. George, UT. Surviving are her twin brothers, Jack Hilley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and John Hilley of Eldorado, IL; brother, Terry (Judy) Hilley of Clarksville, MI; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Linda was born in Lake Odessa, MI on September 26, 1952 and grew up in Grand Ledge where she graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 1973. She had been a long-time resident of Lansing where she had been employed for many years at the Sheraton Inn. Linda had been a 30 year member of the Arthritis Foundation where she volunteered countless hours. Although Linda had a life filled with health problems, she remained an inspiration to all who knew her with her iron constitution and witty sense of humor. Linda rarely complained of her problems and always brought out the best in others. It was only with the huge support and generosity of a large circle of friends that Linda was allowed to live her dream of never having to leave the comfort of her little red brick house in south Lansing. To those many people, we, her family, are eternally grateful. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22 at the South Church of the Nazarene (401 W. Holmes Rd., Lansing) with Pastor Harold DeMott officiating. There will be a time to greet the family beginning at noon on Wednesday, and at a luncheon following the service. Private family interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, or South Church of the Nazarene. Sandra Roth:  Sandra L. Carter-Seybold Sunfield Age 54, formerly of Mulliken, died October 2, 2008. She was born August 17, 1954 in Lansing, a daughter of Roger and Wilma (Parsons) Roth. Sandra was a G.M. employee, a member of U.A.W. Local 602, the Mulliken United Methodist Church and a leader with the Barn Busters 4-H Club. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Roth; sister, Julie Rosenbaun; and brother, Wesley Roth. Surviving are her husband, Arlo Seybold, whom she married September 13, 2008; two daughters, Jessica (Elisha) Fitch-Cook and Jennifer Carter, both of Mulliken; her grandson, Alastare Lumene; her mother, Wilma Roth of Grand Ledge; brothers and sisters, Roger (Nan) Roth of Grand Ledge, Susan (Duane) Lilly of Charlotte, Carlene Hensley of Midland, Texas, Doug Roth and Steven (Eileen) Roth, both of Grand Ledge, Karen Miller of Charlotte, Janell Roth of Grand Ledge, Andrew Roth of Winter Park, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2008, at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, with Pastor Judy Scholten officiating. Inurnment will be in Danby Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6~8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI 48813.

Keith G. Popham Jr.   52 of Charlotte, Michigan died Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Keith was born July 27, 1954 in Lansing, the son of Keith and Jo Popham Sr. He is survived by his mother, Jo Popham; daughters, Lanta Jo (Randy) Winn of Kentucky, Annamae Popham and Karie Popham, both of Charlotte and sister, Sue (Tom) Delgiorno of Bath. He was preceded in death by his father Keith Sr. in 1994. No services will be held.
