Do you need help NOW?

Helping Your Neighbors Since 1979

In 1979, the Domestic Violence Task Force organized a volunteer program to respond to victims of family violence. Like most other communities at that time, the majority of Jefferson County residents showed little awareness of the prevalence of domestic and sexual abuse. Thanks to that small group of caring individuals, who decided to be proactive—and to the many people, who helped during the next three decades— today our Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Program is a vital resource in Jefferson County.

Our DVSA Program is certified with United Good Neighbors and relies heavily on community support, both in funding and volunteers.
Please support our program.

Transitional Living CenterDVSA has launched a fund-raising campaign for its exciting new project, the Dove House. The building's first floor will have space for the crisis line workers, legal advocacy, individual counseling, support groups, parenting classes, administration, and other programs. Upstairs, a one-bedroom unit, two two-bedroom units, and one three-bedroom unit will house families needing support during their transitions. They will be able to stay for up to two years, pay below-market rent, benefit from comprehensive onsite supportive services, and receive referrals to other community service providers.
