Game Stuff
I never learned to play Nintendo or any video games. The
joystick and gamepad were awkward. But give me a keyboard and a
mouse, and I became an avid gamer. Most all of the games I like
best are from Sierra.
- Online games - ImagiNation Network was my
first on-line gaming experience. I frequented the card and board games
in the Clubhouse, and had just begun to venture into Yserbius Land for
the role-playing games. I also found the Sierra hint boards. When INN
shut down, I found FREE game servers. Some of the free game
servers I've tried are Pogo, Yahoo Games, WON.net
and Flipside,
and also MSN GameZone and EA - which have both
free and paid games. For a really comprehensive list of online gaming
sites check out RJ's

- Neopets - is a virtual pet site with games,
trading, auctions, and more. It is great for kids, but I know a
lot of grown-ups with Neopets, too. Click on the Neopet above.
- Kings Quest - KQ5 was the first game that
really captured my attention. I played it for weeks, and frequented the
hint boards on INN and the Prodigy Games BB. Later, I went back and
tried KQ 1-4. These older games used a text parser where you typed
commands like "open door" instead of point and click. I have all of the
King's Quest games including KQ8 - Mask of Eternity. Hints at Sierra Message Boards
- Betrayal at Krondor - is my all time
favorite game. BAK is a turn-based RPG, based on the "Riftwar Saga" by
Raymond E. Feist. I played this game for months. Download free

Message Boards and The
Common Room
- Betrayal in Antara - was mistakenly
advertised as a "sequel" to Betrayal at Krondor. People were
disappointed that BiA was either too much like BAK, or not enough like
it. Sheesh! It was a similar game that used the same game engine, but
with its own story and characters. I enjoyed it. Sierra allows fanfic
based in the world of Antara. - Hints at Sierra Message Boards and The Common Room
- Return to Krondor - is the true sequel to
Betrayal at Krondor, and is again based on Raymond E Feist's books.
Though not quite as good as BAK, it came very close and the 3d was
great. My only complaints were that a couple of the chapters were too
short, and there weren't enough side quests. - Hints at Sierra Message Boards and The Common Room
- Wheel of Time - is a FPS (first person
shooter) game which uses the Unreal engine and it includes both single
player and multiplayer options. It is based on the world in the Wheel
of Time series by Robert Jordan. The game story takes place before the
books, so you won't see Rand Al'Thor or any of the characters from the books.

- I loved the books, but couldn't get into this game.
- Dragon Riders: Chronicles of Pern - based
on Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern. The PC version had too many bugs.
I bought the Dreamcast version, but I had trouble with the controls. It looked
good, but was disappointing.
