Station K8GVK, Dave. Former call CN8FX when operating from Morocco.

A much Younger Dave! This is 1958.

The location at that time was in North Olmsted, Ohio, a western suburb of Cleveland. Note* DX-35, AR-3 and Hallicrafters S-85. Could stay up all night then!!

The photo at the right is 1959 and when I was stationed at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Ill. Still had the DX-35 but reciever upgraded to a Hammerland HQ-150.

My latest QSL Card – 2004

A photo of the K8GVK antenna system at our QTH.

Hy Gain TH-2 at 45 feet on a Heights aluminum tower. Rotator is a Yaesu G-450A. All works very well but it helps to be atop a hill out in this countryside.

Aboard the U.S.S. Guam April 1998 (Fun) but the Captain would not turn all the stuff on for me and the radio room was off limits to me too.??? I just wanted to "Tweak" it all for performance!!!
