Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA)
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has approximately 2.5 million members, 11,200 congregations and 21,000 ordained ministers. Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our heritage, and much of what we believe, began with the French lawyer John Calvin (1509-1564), whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed thinking that came before him.
The Presbyterian Church USA Mission Yearbook provides an opportunity to learn about Mission work throughout the world. It includes daily Lectionary readings for study and prayer.

Synod of the Covenant (Michigan and Ohio)
Synods are the regional "governing bodies" made up of several presbyteries. The Synod of the Covenant is made up of churches in Michigan and Ohio, with a few from Indiana, Kentucky and Wisconsin. As one of 16 synods of the Presbyterian Church (USA), it is the information and resource network of the presbyteries.
Presbytery of Lake MichiganPresbyteries are the regional "governing bodies" made up of several churches. The Presbytery of Lake Michigan serves the western part of lower Michigan by offering support, counsel, and resources to all churches seeking assistance in any portion of their mission.
Camp Greenwood, located just west of Greenville, Michigan, has been serving Presbyterian churches and the Southwestern Michigan community for almost 50 years. Located on a chain of five lakes and over 200 acres, recreation opportunities abound including canoeing, swimming, archery, and crafts. Camp Greenwood is an ACA accredited camp whose facilities include heated cabins with indoor plumbing. Central kitchens and meeting spaces serve the cabins.
Camp Greenwood would be defined as Camping in a Christian community. Recreation mixed with Worship & Bible study. Each year many of the youth from First Presbyterian Church of Dimondale have attended summer camps here.

Gifts through the foundation can be distributed to the charitable beneficiary of your choice; the Foundation does not determine the recipient of your gift. You can designate any Presbyterian Church or Presbyterian related organization or charity. You may also determine if the charitable beneficiary will be allowed to use your gift for the greatest need or you can specify the use of the gift.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events.
As part of the Presbyterian Church USA, the purpose of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is to provide a ministry of "relief and response to national and international disasters, aid to refugees and displaced persons, refugee resettlement, and efforts toward development" (General Assembly minutes, 1988, Structural Design for Mission. page 15) This ministry is carried out through ecumenical partnerships, related church agencies, middle governing bodies, and congregations.
Founded in 1946, Church World Service is the relief, development, and refugee assistance ministry of 36 Protestant, Orthodox, and Anglican denominations in the United States. Working in partnership with indigenous organizations in more than 80 countries, CWS works worldwide to meet human needs and foster self-reliance for all whose way is hard.
Within the United States, Church World Service assists communities in responding to disasters, resettles refugees, promotes fair national and international policies, provides educational resources, and offers opportunities to join a people-to-people network of local and global caring through participation in CROP Walks, the Tools of Hope & Blanket Program, and the Gift of the Heart program.
Founded in 1997 by Tom Braak, Faith in Action International is a grass-roots organization whose goal it is to tangibly express God’s love in impoverished communities. Their mission grew out of a Judeo-Christian ethic and they work with local people as facilitators to help them organize themselves, identifying, prioritizing and solving local problems.
Faith in Action International provides solutions that others have successfully used, encouraging the people to test the ideas to see if they might be adapted to work locally. In all cases, the intent is to ensure that the solutions are sustainable.
This organizations efforts are currently targeted toward rural farmers of the Artibonite Valley in Haiti. Their hope is that one day, based on the success in that area, they can expand into other regions of Haiti and into other countries.
Promise Keepers is a Christ-centered organization dedicated to introducing men to Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord; and then helping them to grow as Christians. This is mainly accomplished through the “Seven Promises” and the men's conference ministry. Millions of men have participated since 1990 when PK first began.
Promise Keepers is not a membership organization. Men and women of God are welcome to participate in our ministries and join our mailing lists; but are only promise keepers to the degree that they individually live out their testimonies among those who know them.

This organization houses more than 100 people, generally 25 to 28 families on a typical night. Close to two thirds of those housed are young children seeking shelter with their parents. Approximately 40 percent of the people housed at SIREN are women and children who are homeless because they are fleeing family violence. The face of homelessness in Eaton County and throughout many parts of the state is different than the stereotype many people have of the homeless.
