An arsenal of Charles Krafft’s porcelain weaponry
is included in an explosive traveling exhibition “Bang! Bang!”

in Saint-Entienne, France through May 28, 2006. The show then moves to
the Musee International Des Arts Modestestes in Sete opening June 29 and
continuing through November 28, 2006. The exhibition features fearsome
firearms by over 50 international artists. Krafft’s contributions
include a French themed Lugar, two Kalishnikovs and an array of small
arms.

BROCKTON ROX

IN TOUCH WITH DUTCH
Charles Krafft was instrumental in reviving the legacy of American hot
rod hero Von Dutch. A new book, The Art of Von Dutch, from Tornado Design
in Los Angeles, documents the collaboration efforts of Kraft and the legendary
pinstriper, artist and gunsmith. The book release is accompanied by a
Von Dutch Tribute Show at Copro Nason Gallery at Bergamot Station in Santa
Monica opening May 20 (together with a show of recent work by Lisa Petrucci).
The show includes the frequently misattributed postage stamps of Krafft
and Von Dutch, as well as a brand new Beer Stein and a pair of Von Dutch
Dueling Pistols. Don your Kenneth Howard tee shirt and join us at the
gala opening and book signing.
